There are so many series that I have left unfinished, especially in 2018. I read so many first books but never picked up the sequels. In 2019, my goal is to finish up or catch up on these series!
Caraval Trilogy by Stephanie Garber
Finish or Catch-Up: Finish
I fairly enjoyed Caraval and was excited for Legendary. But when it was released, I just never got it. Part of it is the high price of the newly released hardcover, but since the library waitlist is shorter now, I can get it soon. As well, Finale, the final book in the trilogy, is set to be released later this year and I’m determined to read it before the end of the year!

The Thousandth Floor Trilogy by Katherine McGee
Finish or Catch-Up: Finish
The Thousandth Floor became one my favourite mindless reads. The futuristic Gossip Girl-like books are both fun, mind blowing, and enjoyable. I have one more book, The Towering Sky, before saying goodbye to this series for good. To be honest, as long as Cord and Rylin have a happily ever after, I don’t really care what else happens.

Stalking Jack the Ripper Series by Kerri Maniscalco
Finish or Catch-Up: Finish
I have two books left in this series, Escaping From Houdini and the finale, Capturing the Devil. I love Audrey Rose and Thomas’ banter, the mystery, the history, and especially the forensic science in this story. I can’t wait for two more books of this hauntingly dark, and beautiful series.
An Ember in the Ashes Series by Sabaa Tahir
Finish or Catch-Up: Catch-Up
I’ll admit that the reason I can’t bring myself to read A Reaper at the Gates is because I’m afraid of the ending. I know what’ll happen (thanks Twitter for the spoilers) but I’m sure it won’t make the ending any easier. I’m trying to shorten my period of suffering and not read it until closer to the fourth book’s release. In 2020. But it keeps looks so beautiful on my bookshelf, just wanting to be read . . . It’s tough.
Shatter Me Series by Tahereh Mafi
Finish or Catch-Up: Catch-Up
I love the Shatter Me series but I haven’t been able to pick up Restore Me when it came out. But with Defy Me coming out this year and the final book next year, I think it’s time that I read it and continued one of my favourite series. I’m hesitant, because what if it’s not as good as the first three? But my love for Juliet, Kenji, Warner, and the others is too strong to ignore.
Falling Kingdoms Series by Morgan Rhodes
Finish or Catch-Up: Finish
I have just one more book before the end of this series: Immortal Reign. I was supposed to have finished it last summer, but I wasn’t able to. I know my library has it, so as soon as my TBR allows me, I’ll be reading this and finally knowing what happens to conclude this series.

Flame in the Mist Duology by Renée Ahdieh
Finish or Catch-Up: Finish
I have yet to read the sequel, Smoke in the Sun and I really need to. I loved the characters in Flame in the Mist when I read it in 2017, and although I forgot practically everything that happened, I remember liking it enough that I wanted to read the sequel. This year is the year that I will read the conclusion to this duology. Hopefully.
To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before Trilogy by Jenny Han
Finish or Catch-Up: Finish
I loved the movie (maybe even more than the book, oops) and with the announcement of a sequel movie, I need to read the second book. And while I’m at it, I might as well finish the trilogy and be all set for the third movie!
And that is all! Eight series to finish or catch-up in 2019. It’s a lot, but the year is young and I should be set. Let’s see how I do at the end of the year.
What are some series you want to finish or catch-up this year? I’d love to know!
Thank you for reading and see you next time ❤
