Another month, another wrap-up!
Ramadan and fasting started in May, so it’s been a bit slow on the reading front. I don’t see myself going back into reading for at least another month or so (thanks exams and school). I am still happy by how many books I managed to still read this month!
It was also my birthday month, so I got several books I’m very excited to read in the upcoming months.
Without further ado, my May wrap-up:
The Evolution of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin
Recommend? Yes! I don’t usually like paranormal, but I enjoyed this book. I also really liked how much of an unreliable narrator Mara Dyer was. I feel like I enjoyed this sequel more than the first book!
The Retribution of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin
Recommend? I didn’t like this like the previous two books, but it’s still a good ending!
Want by Cindy Pon
Recommend? Yes! This book was so good! I enjoyed the sci-fi element. I wish the friendship squad was more developed, but I recommend it!
The Fill-In Boyfriend by Kasie West
Recommend? Yes! This was another great Kasie West book. It’s so cute and the characters were adorable and amazing.
The Moon and More by Sarah Dessan
Recommend? No. This was much too and the love interest was horrible. This was, unfortunately, my least favourite book this month!
We Hunt the Flame by Hafsah Faizal
Recommend? Yes! This might be my favourite book of the year. From the lush writing to the characters, setting, representation and more, I want everyone to read and love this book! Read my review for it here.
Fame, Fate, and the First Kiss by Kasie West

Recommend? Kinda! It’s not my favourite Kasie West book but it was defiantly enjoyable!
What did you read this month? What’s your favourite? Let’s talk in the comments!
Thank you for reading and see you next time ❤
