My journey of reading Kasie West books is coming to an end. I only have one more book left to read, and then I’ll be waiting for new releases like everybody else. I’ve had the most fun going through and reading all of Kasie West’s books. The Fill-In Boyfriend was another fantastic read that I loved. Hayden was adorable, and such a cutey. Gia was a different but interesting character. I didn’t hate her, in fact, I quite liked her. I think West did a fantastic job of conveying her character and completing her character arc.
SPOILERS BEYOND THE QUOTE
I never wanted anyone to have this much power over my emotions again. It was safer to keep to myself, to keep things on the surface. Things ended better that way.
I think the premise of the book is very fun, and I liked how it was written. It wasn’t creepy and had almost a comedic undertone to it at times.
My favourite part is Hayden, though. He’s probably one of my favourite Kasie West love interests and his storyline was captivating. His sister was also a fun character that I enjoyed reading about. I hope she gets her own story!
Gia’s friends were awful and I’m so glad she left them. I could connect to Gia a lot on that and the ending made me happy. She now has a group of friends that actually care about her.
Gia’s family was also awful, especially her brother. He had a good idea what with the social media addiction, but he didn’t have to be such a jerk while doing it. I felt really bad for Gia, especially since she went to surprise him.
All in all, this was a fun book—one of my favourite Kasie West! Have you read this book? What did you think? Let’s talk in the comments!
Thank you for reading and see you next time ❤
