Meh. The main character was a bit flat and monotonous. 3/5

A Love Hate Thing by Whitney D. Grandison

Really disliked this book. 1/5

The Boy in the Black Suit by Jason Reynolds

Loved this! Also a bit of a misleading synopsis but heartfelt all the same. 4/5

Long Way Down by Jason Reynolds

Written in verse and was simply fantastic. 5/5

Cruel Beauty by Rosamund Hodge

Was very confused for most of the book. 2/5

Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi

One word: FANTASTIC. 5/5

Monday’s Not Coming by Tiffany D. Jackson

I was confused about some things, but overall really enjoyed it. 4/5

Children of Virtue and Vengeance by Tomi Adeyemi

Couldn’t catch a break, it was fast-paced and SO GOOD. 5/5

The Way You Make Me Feel by Maurene Goo

Loved the characters and the relationships between them! 4/5

Slay by Brittney Morris

Loved this book, especially since there aren’t many about Black female gamers! 4/5

Solo by Kwame Alexander and Mary Rand Hess

Written in verse but I couldn’t get into it. 3/5

She Wore Red Trainers by Na’ima B. Roberts

Worst reading experience ever. I wish I’ve never picked it up. 1/5
