This is my second time reading Serpent & Dove, in preparation for the release of the sequel!

Serpent & Dove is a much better read the second time around. I felt more engaged in the story, I liked the characters more, and just overall had a better experience with it.

Lou and Reid were fantastic characters, both individually and when together. I really liked their bickering and fighting, and the romance between them wasn’t rushed or unrealistic. It has a nice progression to it.

Lou is a badass characters who’s strong and vulnerable, and I really enjoyed following her story. Reid defiantly has some ideas he needs to change and work through, but he defiantly has a sweet side that endeared him to me.

Ansel and Coco were really great side characters and I can’t wait to see more of them and what will happen to them in the next book!

Overall, this was a great book with witches, romance, friendship, and adventure. I recommend it, especially for fall and winter!

My final rating is:

Thank you for reading and see you next time ❤
