I have really enjoyed Brandy Colbert’s other books, especially The Revolution of Brandy Colbert so I was very excited to read this one!

This was such a short book (less than 250 e-book pages) with short chapters that made it really easy and enjoyable to get through the book. It’s really motivating to me when I see my progress improving quickly!

This book takes place during one day, and follows Marva and Duke as they vote for the very first time. Marva helps Duke vote and they deal with a bunch of things along the way: a missing cat, asshole boyfriends (seriously, I hate Alec), family, and more.

As characters, Marva and Duke were really fun to read about. I do wish they ended the book as just friends but I also don’t really mind the ending too much. It did feel more like satisfying the audience than doing what should be done.

Sometimes reading this book felt like reading my twitter feed, but I didn’t mind it. It also talks about a lot of things and issues that people might not know about, and this is a great introduction into it! It’s also not unrealistic to find people Marva’s age talking and thinking like that.

All in all, I really enjoyed this book and would defiantly recommend it!

My final rating is:

Thank you for reading and see you next time ❤
