SPOILERS BEYOND THE QUOTE
You’re my favorite way to pass the time. But time stands still when you’re on my mind.
Let me start with saying that I love the anonymous-letter-writing/texting/means-of-communication-turns-into-love trope. I’ve read many books like this, and it’s always amazing. This book is also enemies to lovers, and have I mentioned how much I love this trope? I do. I love it.
I knew that Cade was the letter writer from the beginning, but it was still so fun to see Lily figure it out and work through her feelings. And Cade turning out to be a total sweetheart? Swoon.
I did dislike him at the beginning, but when we learned more about him, I couldn’t help it. The end scene was just too good. I love everything about this book.
Lily is a great main character, and her struggles from being a part of a big family, money issues, being a weirdo, and her dreams . . . West crafted such a complex and real character that I found myself connecting to a lot.
Lily’s crazy and big family was so fun to read about. I also come from a big family and although we’re not as crazy as Lily’s family, I could see so many parallels. It reminded me that I love reading about big families. I should probably read more now.
Excellent family dynamic, friendship, enemies to lovers, letter writing, and characters. P.S. I Like You is an amazing read that I would recommend to both lovers and not so much lovers of contemporary.
Have you read this book? What did you think of it? Let’s talk in the comments!
